Mrs. Diane Carter, English I Honors and English Language Arts
Diane Carter teaches English I Honors, English Language Arts, and serves as a Reading Interventionist. With 28 years of teaching experience, Mrs. Carter brings deep expertise in supporting student growth across multiple literacy contexts.
Mrs. Carter holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Science in Instructional Accommodation. She is a Read to Succeed Teacher and was named District Teacher of the Year for 2013-2014.
Mrs. Carter believes that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. She is dedicated to providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites a sharing of ideas. When students have ownership in the curriculum, they are motivated to work hard and master the skills to reach their goals. Mrs. Carter loves to dance and shop in her free time.
Fun fact: Mrs. Carter is the youngest of twenty-five siblings.
