Ms. Susan Cox, Guitar and Band
Susan Cox teaches Guitar and Band. Ms. Cox holds a B.A. in Music Education and an M.M. in Music Education. She is Gifted and Talented certified and was JPT Teacher of the Year.
Ms. Cox has been teaching for 20 years and has spent the last 18 of those years in Lake City working in Florence School District 3. She has called JPT home for the past 12 years. She has been fortunate enough to teach a wide variety of subjects in various capacities and is content to find herself teaching band again in addition to guitar. Ms. Cox believes everyone wants and needs to connect with others—to know and be known. She believes everyone can learn and grow and that it should be fun. She believes music is transformative.
Fun fact: Ms. Cox spouts random movie quotes and song lyrics all the time—in her head and out loud. You never know when one will appear.
