Ms. Sapitan teaches Algebra 1, Probability and Statistics, and Geometry. She holds a BS Secondary Education Major in Mathematics with minor in Reading, a SC Certificate of Teaching for International Teachers, and has been teaching since 2010. She was awarded Best in Research in college for "Assessing the Metacognitive Skills of Sophomore students in Mathematical Problem Solving."
Ms. Sapitan says, "Teaching keeps me going because I always find joy at work. It could be my students, my colleagues, administrators, or the school environment. I also find teaching as a fulfilling job since you can make a difference, one student at a time. I believe that if we want to make a difference and make an impact in this world, we should start the change with our selves. Be part of the solution, not the problem. After all, the main purpose of math education is to be a problem solver, a critical thinker, and an analytical thinker. Every student should think this way."
