What is Pro-Team?
Pro-Team is an innovative program launching at JPT in the 2026-2027 school year. This program will be exclusively for middle school honors students. This hands-on elective course, offered during advisory, emphasizes student-driven learning and real-world application of leadership principles.
Program Philosophy
Pro-Team is built on a powerful philosophy articulated by Jack Welch, former GE Chairman and CEO: "Before you are a leader, success is all about growing yourself. When you become a leader, success is all about growing others."
This course challenges students to first develop their own skills, character, and understanding before stepping into leadership roles where they can positively influence their peers and community.
What You'll Experience
Pro-Team features hands-on activities and unique learning opportunities tailored to middle school students. The program includes field observations for both 7th and 8th-grade participants, allowing students to see leadership and professional practices in action beyond the classroom walls.
Through Pro-Team, you'll develop critical thinking skills, learn to collaborate effectively, understand different perspectives, and discover how to make a meaningful impact in your school and community.
Who Should Apply?
Pro-Team is designed for middle school students enrolled in honors courses who are ready to challenge themselves and grow as leaders. If you're curious about leadership, eager to learn from real-world experiences, and interested in making a difference at JPT, Pro-Team is for you.
